Stuart loading material onto our new Schunk KSC 3-Face Pyramid and setting the work offsets. This pyramid fixture is designed with a 20 degree angle that allows access to all 5 sides of each workpiece, especially when you’re working at -110 degrees in the machine. If you tilt the table to -110 degrees, the part you’re working on will be at -90 degrees and directly perpendicular to the spindle. Jacob preparing two SCHUNK vises for table installation. We have found that using a bar for multiple vise alignment saves time. Before tightening the vises to the table we clamp both vises to the bar which puts them in alignment to each other... then we align the entire combination as a single unit... this is especially helpful when loading 4 or more vises perfectly to a table. Once everything is close... then you unclamp the bar and simply work each individual vise into perfection. | Titans of
