Carpet Python eating a large male brushtail possum! 🐍 Last night, a family in Burpengary heard a thump in their backyard. They came outside to find this! The possum and the snake had both fell from a nearby tree which was at least 8 metres high. They called us straight away and Summer arrived within 10 minutes. Summer spent about 45 minutes with the family chatting all things snake while they waited for the python to finish its meal. When pythons grab and constrict their prey, it is suffocated
